If it is that bad that it needs replaced, don't waste time, just either do as suggested, split with a chisel or cut it off with an angle grinder or hacksaw. If it is good enough to save, then you need to clamp it down tight into the taper and the nut will screw off. Easy on any thing where the track rod end is in from below, like on a 65. Just put the jack under it and lift the tractor!. On a 35 or TO20 you need a 'G' or maybe you call them a 'C' clamp and about 8 inches of 1/2" flat bar. set the bar on the track rod end and the drag link and put the clamp halfway along it and tighten it real tight. Use the same methods to tighten in the new one. Sam
