My TED20 lift cover has sprung a leak. Just a tiny one but it is too dangerous to leave. I'm half way through a job moving earth and mulch, trying to get it done before the wet season makes everything too soft to drive on. Can anyone tell me if I can loosen the bolts ontop of the lift cover below the seat by about half an inch allowing me to clear the damaged gasket and use liquid gasket as a stop gap. Or do I have to disconnect inside the main housing and remove the lift cover completely. It just takes so long to get parts here I wonder if raising the lift cover only half an inch or so would be enough room. Then clearing out the old gasket and using liquid gasket then re tighten. Is this idea daft as it seems abit too easy? what do you think, has anyone done it before?
