I am finally getting around to installing the hood on my TO30 I have been slowly working on for a couple years and ran into a bit of a problem. This TO30 did not come with a gas tank when I bought it, but I had a spare sitting around and put it in. Now, with the hood on I find that it won’t close all the way! It doesn’t come all they way down to meet the dash and I find that it is the gas cap/filler neck that is the problem. Its to tall! I went out to my TO20 and the filler neck is significantly shorter on its tank. The two tanks look the same in all other ways though. I have posted a picture comparing the two neck heights... The parts book only shows one part number for the gas tank for the TO20,TO30,TE20, TEA20. Does anyone know why there is a difference in these two tanks?
