howard rotovator installation

I have TO20 w/rotovator trans. picked a howard rotovator tiller (it is offset behind right tire).What kind coupling or shaft size does this take?.The 1 1/8" shaft is to small for mechanisium that engauges.I put a large 1 3/8" shaft in fergie, and shaft is to long,(shafts end butt)Should i cut it?.I do not have paper work(looking in tiller end there seemed to be notches,this leads me to think i am missing a part(special coupling). any advise is appreciated thank Skip
