What possess you to tear an engine apart in the snow? I am in WI and we have had -10 or so windchills. I did not mean that I lost any of my tractors in a fire. The fire was in a shed that I stored some of my implements. This got me thinking about my tractors and what would happen if they did burn. Like you, one can not tell the insurance company what the true value of a rare tractor is. I sold most of my UK built tractors to a collector in Georgia. I did have a Grey/Gold 35 diesel and a MF 35 4 cylinder diesel that I sold. I now have a grey/gold FE 35 gas tractor that is one of the sweetiest running tractors that I have seen. Do miss the sound of the Standard diesel, but not the smoke when starting. I am enyious of the rare MF tractors that you have in your part of the US. I am within 100 miles of two JD factories, 150 miles from the AC and MH factories so we did not have many rare Ferguson or MF tractors here.
