I'm not going to beat this issue to death. I've asked myself a few times why I took it also. But I've asked far more times why it was adverized as a "good, field ready plow" when it wasn't even usable. Several "problems" didn't show up until I started taking it apart and found the re-set mechanisms stuck (UNlocked) also, the fact that all three bottoms were different, and obviously from 3 different plows. I drove 345 miles to get to your place, under the PROMISE that I was getting what I drove there for. NOT a fully restored plow, but a USABLE plow. In all my travels, I've NEVER seen this particular model of Deere plow sell at anything above what I paid for this one. I paid for a USABLE plow and got JUNK. I ended up buying over $400 worth of new parts, and another "parts plow" to get this one in shape to use. Granted, it's almost in new condition now, but I have double, maybe even triple what it's worth invested. Yeah, you're right. I should have just let it sit. Yeah I'M right, it was misrepresented in the add....
