Td9B s all ran the ih D282 engine if it is diesel engine. Those engine almost always have a cracked head or blown head gasket. When you start it watch for white smoke that will clear up as the engine warms up . You may be the lucky one but most folks that buy a 30 + year old dozer are just throwing money out the window. The only other common failure was the reverser did not last to good . they also tend to have a little more engine than the finals stand if you really load it. Don't let me keep you from it but they are better dozers out there unless it is very (like scrap) cheap.
