I have owned this place for 7 years. Satellite photos show that it has been grass since at least 1990. Anyway I have a couple spots that I plowed up and planted alfalfa and wheat in the past. This year I plowed up another acre of grass to plant some wheat in preparation to plant corn on next spring. Using the wheat as cover and grazing this winter. So I went and walked the field today and found a dang milo plant growing in it. Just one. I know I didnt plant it as this was seed wheat I saved from last year. It must have been in the ground and came up when I turned the soil over. |

| See it around here time after time. neighbour took on a pasture farm that had not been worked since 1953. Planted oats and the mustard came up as thick as fur on a fox. |

| When we bought this place 35 years ago, no one had lived here for at least five years, so there was a lot of yard work to do. Next spring after some serious cleaning, up popped some of the prettiest petunias I have ever seen. But they only lasted that one year. Fast forward 25 years, had new septic system installed. Yep, you guessed it, more petunias! In several places. Lasted only one season though. Guess I'll just plow up the yard again next spring. LOL |

| Seeds can lie dormant in the ground for decades. Bought the second of three farms in '82....still see clover coming up, and I've never seeded that. |

As far as I know I am only one with chickens and I make my own mix of alfalfa, oats, wheat and Icelandic kelp...... I suppose that is possible but a bird would have to flown a long ways with it and just happened to drop it over my fresh plowed field.......possible I suppose |

| You have any body close by who has chickens??? If you do I almost bet a bird picked up some chicken feed and drop a milo seed out as it flew over your place |
