| The sooner the better. And a few oats at half rate will give you aa quick cover and protect the new grass until it gets going. |

| | HI CDV What type ? Western PA here. Any time now is getting to be good for alfalfa. The grasses I"ve had good return as late as early Oct. I"m looking to plant soon, If the weather lasts, that is the rain that is. Just baled 2nd in a field the was plant first week of September 2010. Yields this year, Alfalfa Timothy, First 145 bales to acre(40 lbs. each) just did 2nd, 40 bales to acre. |

| Thanks Joe here in south jersey,,,and it a new field ,,we got almost 2-1/2 rain sat,,sept sounds good,,,my 1st time planting hay hope it works out thanks again |
