Depends what service you subscribe to. Basic DTN is 10 minutes behind CBOT futures, but for the extra fee you can get real-time market quotes. With today"s volatile markets, easily moves 30-50 cents in a mater of minutes. These days, trading an hour late can get real expensive. Few weeks ago, I checked the local internet posted price, drove 5 miles to town, contracted for more than a dime under on soybeans....went to a Legion meeting that nite, and a neighbor who was in the elevator when I contracted said market recovered a dime a half hour after I left. Still, $14.22 for beans on that contract is not shabby. Last year I put in bids and averaged $13.35 for the year.
