in your experience how do you think next years hay crop will be. i have limited experience since i have only been doing hay for 12 years.

| i always expect bad,then i get to feel better in a good year! seriously though im expecting at least one more dry year here if it follows the historical record.about every 20-30 years or so we get four or five drier than normal.

| In my experience,a hard open winter will do it more harm than a drought.

| Good question, I have cut three time due to the heat and stress blooming. Now in the last 10 days gotten nearly 5-6" of rain and will get two more cuttings if the frost is not early and still have less in the barn than with three cuttings last year.

| One thing I have learned in the 30 plus years I have doing hay you never count your bales till you have them in the barn. I have seen 2 or 3 bad years then all at once you get 2 or on a very good year 3 cuttings and all you know for sure is when you have it in the barn. Sort of like counting chickens before they hatch all you know is you have X number of eggs but how many hatch is a thing you do not know till you have bird in hand. That said this is the worst year I have ever seen
