Going home from the Marion County fair last night we could see lightening to the north and the radar had the storms tracking a bit south. Heard it start raining around 10:30 and I went to sleep with the hope that it would keep coming. What a disappointment to only find .05" in the gauge this morning! Some hit-and-miss areas within a half-hour from us got over an inch but it passed us by. It is supposed to be 100+ again starting tomorrow with no rain in sight until next weekend. I'm guessing we'll start seeing windrowers in soybean fields around here within a few days because a lot of fields started turning yellow a week ago. |

| We had 3-6 inch rains here at the Lake of the Ozarks. I know because I was either in them or driving in them. One was when I went to Wal-Mart to see if they had a canning tool O need and it was enough to get the whole parking lot wet but stopped at that point. The next to I had hit when driving home and you could see the rain drops 6 inches apart on the windshield. |

| We were the same here in Norhtwest Indiana. Watched rain 1 mile away and nothing at the house. Now in one week we are working on 5" and is raining now. Hope at least with what you have it will build from that. |

| It was 107 here South East Il. We don't even have any humidity! Was just 102 today, but is raining now and the temp is down to 95. Corn is gone. beans are close. Might be better to bale the beans, they are the only kinda green thing left. Vic |
