if you want to harvest it as grain, you could try out the grain head on a combine. I harvested 8 acres like that last year. late maturing corn, ended up blowing over and wasn't dry till almost february. just went in on frozen ground. the down corn actually seemed to work better cause with the stuff that was standing, the reel would push it forward and knock it over. with it down, i just ran the header real low and took in the whole stalk. if it's standing up still, probably want to set the cutter just below the ear, and it would probably work best with the reel off completely, or at least set all the way up.
