if you set on the straw until next spring it will bring you a preimum price as all the suppliers run out in the fall and lawn guys go crazy looking for it in the spring. have to control rats close if you can. last time i bought a bale of straw it was last year and it was 4.00 a bale. you can buy alot of fertlize for that. i doubt that you get much food value out of the stubble any way. its more of a help hold the mositure in for beans and keeping weeds down thing that fertlize around here.
