I call that a man killer !! BTDT! Forty years ago freash out of high school me and a friend did a parking lot about forty by sixty foot.Three days spelling each other. Could not lift my arms after a day. Do not want to do it again.

Did it have mesh in it? That used to be a real pain if it did.By some luck I haven't touch one of those in 20 years.Before that it was fairly often.

Used to play chess with a retired Navy guy. Seems he had enlisted shortly after WWII, served his 4 years, got out, and went home to Schenectedy, NY. Got a job with a construction outfit the next day, they put him on a jackhammer. By noon, as he put it, "I'd pretty much decided I would never be the construction king of Schenectedy, so instead of coming back from lunch, I went down the Navy recruiter, re-upped, and stayed 20 years."

Looks like around here. The jobs are getting smaller and no room money wise, to rent the toys to make work easier. There is a lot less gravy on the meat and tators this spring.

I guess I am just a dumb farmer but I have not seen any one around here use a hand jack hammer in years. We either use one on a track hoe (yes the small ones have hammers too) or a skid steer. Much faster and better use of labor. I just looked at the local rental sheet. Skid steer and hammer $150 per half day, $250 for full day.

spent many a day on one of those,started when I was 13.quite honestly,their not too bad once you figure out to let the hammer do the work.most folk try to push it in the concrete and wind up beating themselves up.
