Don't worry about the double posting...just goes to prove she is TWICE as pretty as some others in the herd.

You need to get your camera checked, gitrib- that red Holstein's color is faded out- almost looks like a Guernsey!

Just ribbin' ya'- that's a cow to be proud of. Not many Guernseys left in our area. We had a couple when we were milking in the '50's- I always liked their calm disposition. We sure never had any that milked 31,000 lbs, though!

Sure shes not crossed with an elephant?? WOW thats one pretty Gurnsey (what she looks like to me at least) there was still one farmer that raised them here but other then him you just never see them esp since the days where butterfat mattered, I guess they dont really want that anymore???

We used to keep and milk a 'family cow" when the kids were at home, she was 1/2 Gurnsey, 1/4 Ayrshire, 1/4 Jersey YOU TALK ABOUT RICH MILK

Likewise, wehns the last time you saw any Ayrshires???

My absolute favorite prettiest cow is a rhone colored Milking Shorthorn NOW THOSE ARE BEAUTIFUL but you never see them either grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Ol John T

PS sometimes my puter locks up causing even triple posting

John T,

My brother has around 100 Ayrshire milk cows plus the young stock. My dad had them when I was a kid but we also had a few Holsteins.
