Im in South East Michigan...man is it ever wet. I cant even get the grass cut. You walk across the lawn and water squirts up your pant leg. In our forcast for the next 5days after Friday, rain, rain, rain and rain. It was dang cold here yeasterday 41deg, and mid 30's at night. Way to cool and wet for this time of year. Dont know when im gonna plant, maybe with a helicopter haha. I hear only 20% of the crops are in across the mid-west. How are you guys doin????

we planted corn about 3 weeks ago here in n central il. had a narrow window where the fields dried up some. had a lot of rain since then. have to wait and see if its gonna come up, or if ya bite the bullet and replant.

Some people are finally getting alfalfa seeded (haven't even seen a planter yet) here in SE MN yesterday and today. Forecast is for another week of rain starting tonight though. I have alfalfa to seed into clay gumbo fields so I don't have much hope of getting it in for at least 2-3 more weeks if the rain forecast is accurate. I haven't been able to so much as walk across those fields since the frost went out :) If I can't get alfalfa in by June 1, I'll probably just put in sudex instead... well, assuming it stops raining by then!

Not much planted here in South Central MI, and by the forecast not much is gonna be for a few days. Rain until the weekend---NUTS!

very very little planted in sw Indiana what is planted thats up looks terrible. We dont have anything planted yet. We had 11" of rain total in april and already got 6" the first few days of may here. Im lookin at end of may if the weather starts cooperatin on fields not under water. We got a frost advisory out for tonight. Im guessin Ill have to plant a lot more beans this year if we dont get rollin soon. As you can tell from my pics been dealin with an enourmous amount of water

Got my oats/alfalfa drilled today. Had a few wetspots, but walked right across them with duals. Worked the field wet - had plowed early last month, but weather and illness held me back. Spent the last two days just picking rocks. Was cold and tired last nite! Soil was chunky, grainy from working it wet, but planted up nice. Will have to crumble down with mother nature over the summer. Just hope I get a respectable crop and seeding. At $195 for 50# OF "cheap" alfalfa seed, it'd better be good!

I'm in SE lower MI too, nothing moving here.

I work for a bio-solids injection outfit, we ran out near Hillsdale on Tuesday, a lot of the dirt out there looked pretty moist, but we were lucky enough to have a high sandy field. Today (Wednesday) we worked up in Albion.. They're moving right along up there.. But it's a lot drier there than here.. Dirt also seems to be quite light up that way too.

Our grower in Blissfield said he may let us run Friday, said he'll let us know at lunch time tomorrow..

Me and the JD 9430 and the tanks will be poundin the asphalt at some point tomorrow in hopes of working Friday.

Well here in NW Iowa this was my first day of planting. Got 100 acres done once the bugs were worked out. Still too wet get into one field. Rain is forecast from now till tuesday. Jim

Drilled oats April 18th, right before the big rain spell, after ripping up soybean stubble twice with a field cultivator. The oats are coming up, but a portion of the field is still underwater. East Central Indiana.
