1st Humming bird of the season today at the feeder. Glad I put it out, the poor wee thing must have been about starved with the late wet spring. Could almost see the level dropping as he drank.

First one I saw at our feeder was on Easter day.

With all the windy weather I bet they had a bad trip.
I even had a cross bill ( Black and white with a red badge marking on chest). neighbors never saw one around before.

My wife set her feeders out about a week ago after she saw hummingbirds looking for them.

Last summer we had around 14, a week ago we had one, couple days ago it was two, yesterday it jumped to 4, Im afraid to look out this morning lol need to go buy more sugar it looks like. Last year I bought a huge one gallon feeder and it was goin down in like a week.

We saw our first one Easter weekend. Funny how after having a feeder out for many years they will come and "let you know".

UPDATE SINCE LAST POST: YIKES, I only had 4 yesterday, this morning its 6, once it gets over 8 or so its hard to count.

Are these the same ones (or their offspring) from last year or not???

Absolutely astounding creatures those humming birds. To thing some people have convinced themselves that such an amazing creature could have been the results of "evolution".
