Looking for replacement blades for Rhino model 172. Found some at Agri Supply--Rhino #582013F-- but can not find anywhere where they will work on Rhino 172 model. Specs appear to be the same except they are 4 in wide vs 3 in for present blades. Does anyone have any experience regarding this situation? Thanks a lot for your input.

I'd sure try to stay with the same weights. I've gotten them at Tractor Supply but here they are sold a many farm supply houses. All of them carry a large selection.
Just check thickness, width, length and hole size to make sure you are getting something that will fit your unit. Good luck...

I think as long as they're the same length with the same size mounting hole, it won't make much difference as long as they are balanced. The heavier blades will act like a flywheel and may give you a little better performance in heavy cutting. Jacobsen used to have the best push mower on the market because they used a big disc with 4 blades bolted to the outside of the disc. It acted like a heavy flywheel. They had to discontinue the design because of new regulations that required the blades to stop in a certain amount of time. Kind of dumb for a lawn mower that's spinning at 3600 RPM anyway but I guess the safety guys thought it was dangerous. Heavier blades shouldn't affect your mower and might make it work even better.
