There's been a large dead tree in the fence row between our property and the neighbor's. I've been meaning to take it down before the neighbor's renter plants the field so I wouldn't take the chance of dropping the tree on a planted field.

Today a strong wind took it down--exactly where I wanted it to drop.

I have never been that lucky, wind always takes it down where I do not want.

Sometimes we do get lucky. This tree uprooted during a hurricane a few years back. The main part of the tree fell between my little aluminum boat and my 63 Ranchero doing no damage to either. Notice the tin on the roof peeled back, sure had a lot of water inside the building.
