Condensation

There has been a lot on the various forums about moisture in housings, and how can it be getting in there. Yesterday the warm humid air from the south came through here. Last night I saw that there was at least a gallon of water on the floor under my 9000. I know that the air gets into the cases only slowly, but I also know that there is now condensation on the inside of the cases of all of my tractors and other equipment.

There is no way around that if the temperature of the metal is below the dewpoint. The amount of air/water that will enter is limited by the size of the case and vent.

Warming the case with a reliable (non combustion/sparking heater will do it. A dipstick/or plug thread heater used once a month for 3 or 4 hours might be enough. Jim
