i am replacing seal and bearing on pto shaft. i have a over ride clutch on the shaft.i have the shaft out and drove out shear pin in over ride clutch but still wont come off. need advice on how to remove over ride clutch.

If you know how long the shaft is (inside the O/R socket, drill just behind it and tap for a grease fitting. Put the grease gun on the fitting and pump it out! 10 to 15 thousand PSI on hand pumped grease gun will do it! It makes a hydraulic cylinder out of the shaft. Jim

Stand it up so it is sitting on the ORC, spray some PB Blaster down in from the top...lots of PB Blaster...let it work a while, then put the shaft in a vise ORC down(use some material around it so the vise jaws don't damage the shaft surface,) start tapping the edges of the shaft with a hammer, it will work loose. I have a 8" piece of 1" brass round stock with a flat end I use as a punch to keep from damaging the edges.
