we floridians would like to help them out.. all they need to do is send that water down to our bone dry pastures.

I'm still feeding out hay.. at least as long as I can afford it..

The people who are paid to guess at the weather are saying that the Mississip may surpass the '37 flood.

I just sprigged another ten acres of perennial peanut here in Ft. White. Been running the irrigation gun for a week! I think this big storm system is going to pass to the north of us, but thank God we wont have tornados. What part of Florida are you from?

really. small world I live just outside chandler and a couple of the pics are of my farm just north of town

very interesting photos to me, I was raised at the next Dam down river from the Newburgh Dam. It was Dam 48, There is only one of the original ten houses that were used by the dam employees left, that is the house that I lived in from 1936 till 1960. If my calculations are correct,, Old Man River is about 8 inches deep in my ex house.

There were a couple of kids that lived near us their names were Clifford and Lucille Betz. I was told they both had died. There was a boy in my class called Jerry Young. He would be in his late 70"s now. My teacher was Miss Hill and she used phonics when we were spelling words. WW2 was on the horizon and they had already had put the active reserves on alert and some had been activated. One of my supervisor's was in a Army reserve unit and was called up. He's in his 90's now. My uncle "my dad's youngest brother" was also called up. Hal
PS: I was drafed in 1953 during the Korean War and I married my high school girlfriend.
