Deal on Mobil oil

Came across a great deal on a high quality motor oil. Mobil Delvac 1300 super, 15-40. $53.99 for a 5 gallon pail. Which is a good price for this oil. But it gets better. Mobil is offering a $20 per pail mail in rebate (limit 3). That's about $1.70 a quart for what some users think is the best oil available. This was purchased at a Farm and Fleet in WI. Offer 'till May 31. Go on-line for the spec sheets and rebate info. Looking at a shed full of tractors: this helps!

Hi Jer,

I've never understood why people let their emotions get so involved in the choice of motor oils.

That engine doesn't know the difference between boiled chicken fat and and the "Change yer oil at least every 3,000 miles with this $5 a quart" hoopla.

That sounds like a good deal, Jerry.
I'm sure many here appreciate your heads up on Mobil's rebate offer.

I'll look into that myself, and save my "boiled chicken fat" to slop the hogs with.

I buy name brand oil(I have a story about Wally World oil)and I buy what is on sale, Pennzoil, Quaker State,Valvoline, Mobil, I just buy what is the cheapest and I drive everything at least 10 years.

We have had great luck with that oil, instead of using Rotella on a tractor that burned a lot during hard work. I put it in the rest of the tractors this spring and will try it. The cost savings is really nice also.

Thank You for sharing the good information. With my tractor, I have come to the conclusion that as long as the oil is changed as needed,..all will be ok. Then again, I don't work my tractor very hard.
