Back from doing morning chores, RAINING STILL here in SE Indiana, just getting ready to set down for breakfast,(biscuit & sausage gravy)wondered what everybody else eats to start there day, most days I have eggs and toast or cereal. Wife and kids are gone to school and work so I cook my own. Have a safe day.

Eggs, hash browns, toast or bisquit with honey on top every day except Sunday, then pancakes and one egg.
I love our hens, we never run out of eggs.

A slice of toast and peanut butter with a glass of Nestles Quick before I head out the door. Then I come back in for a bowl of Corn Pops (because that's what the dog likes and he needs his breakfast too) and another slice of toast with raspberry jelly. Except Sundays, that's when we go to town for breakfast.

That's funny! I personally have two diet Dr. Pepper;s and a good chew of Red Man Golden blend. I bet neither of us have worms.

(quoted from post at 09:47:32 04/27/11) This morning, fried spam, scrambled eggs, toast, grape jelly and coffee. YUM YUM
Joe
Sounds like Hee Haw "What's fer dinner Grandpa?"

Two cups of coffee and a toasted bagel with cream cheese.

I can't handle a big breakfast. If I eat a big breakfast, I feel stuffed and groggy till the middle of the afternoon.

Today, had a bananna and two cups coffee, The Bagles and cream cheese sound good. About to have a bowl of pinto beans and crackers for lunch.

I don't eat breakfast and haven't for decades. I do pour a glass if Cr. Pepper and take my morning pills. Most days I eat one meal but then I have a problem with lack of hunger

I went to McDonalds yesterday and bought 3 McDoubles for a buck apiece. I ate 2 of them and put the third one in the fridge. I had it cold for breakfast this morning.

Well, back ion the days of WW II, that can of Spam tasted really good, sitting in a fox-hole in France! We'd heat the can of meat by putting some slits in the box it came in, and in the top of the can, too. Then we'd stuff the can into the box, and light the top of the box. It would burn down, giving off no smoke, and when the box was burnt down to the bottom-we had hot meat to eat! YUMMM! If we had been lucky enough to capture a live, or dead, German, we'd get his can opener, and use it on those cans!
What do i eat now? A bowl of raisin bran, toast and coffee, all week, and bacon and eggs on Saturday morning! Must be ok--i'm 86 yoa, and still going strong!

I kinda look forward to Sat. mornings, Sausage Gravy on toast and lots of coffee at the diner. This morning it was bacon eggs and toast.

Seven days a week, about 362 days a year, same breakfast. One fried egg with a little cheese on it, one slice of toast-wheat or raisin, half cup orange juice, one cup coffee.

1/2 pot of coffee. One big cup at home and another to go with me. I love breakfast food but prefer it as the evening meal. Not much on lunch either, Makes me sleepy.

Usually a homemade bacon/egg/cheese sandwich or biscuit. If I got any scrapple maybe a sandwich with that in it or if I got time on weekends, bacon ,eggs, toast and if the daughter"s home from school, pancakes ,french toast or similar. If I"m headed out to work, I gotta have something for energy or I"m dead before ten o"clock. My metabolism so far still works and keeps me at 170-175 lbs. until hot weather kicks in and I"m down to 165-170. My two sisters just can"t stand me being lighter than them!

My dog likes a Mc double when we go for lumber.I have to take the pickle out.He barks when he sees a Mc Donalds sign.I dont think I could take a cold one.

Oatmeal every morning at this time of year. Sometimes with raisins cooked in. Every once in a while with sugar and fresh homegrown cream. Too busy for much else. Though we had omelette's a couple of times over the last week when it was raining so bad.

Christopher

WHAT!! No one's eating grits anymore??
Actually, I've gotten away from eating them myself, and my wife & kids never cared for them.

Also, another old Southern favorite was Red Eye Gravy. I never even hear of it anymore.

Loved eating at McDucks but too much salt. Went in hospital with high blood. Don't know what to eat now, but it will be at home with NO additional salt. Dave

(quoted from post at 21:00:51 04/27/11) If I got any scrapple maybe a sandwich with that in it

Scrapple: also known by the Pennsylvania Dutch name pon haus,[1][2] is traditionally a mush of pork scraps and trimmings combined with cornmeal and flour, often buckwheat flour, and spices. The mush is formed into a semi-solid congealed loaf, and slices of the scrapple are then panfried before serving. Scraps of meat left over from butchering, not used or sold elsewhere, were made into scrapple to avoid waste.
Locally called "everything but the oink" or made with "everything but the squeal",[3] scrapple is typically made of hog offal, such as the head, heart, liver, and other scraps, which are boiled with any bones attached (often the entire head), to make a broth. Once cooked, bones and fat are discarded, the meat is reserved, and (dry) cornmeal is boiled in the broth to make a mush. The meat, finely minced, is returned to the pot and seasonings, typically sage, thyme, savory, black pepper, and others, are added. [4][2] The mush is formed into loaves and allowed to cool thoroughly until set. The proportions and seasoning are very much a matter of the region and the cook's taste.[

Thanks B&D.
I never heard of Scrapple, but have probably ate it as a kid.
Sometimes things can taste pretty good if you don't know what's in it.

Growing up in the 50's & 60's, I loved potted meat sandwiches until someone pointed out the ingredients on the can. I still ate it but wasn't near as fond of it.

Just a few that I remember was beef lips, tongue, tail, pork snouts, ears, chicken feet, combs.
Back then each item was shown in the ingredients but now-a-days all they say are beef, pork, chicken.
