Well Dave 2, the entire area is now under a Flash flood watch, 1 to 3 more inches comming From up around Wheeling, WV down into Kentucky. Heavy storms are moving across our entire area yesterday and today. Below us from Gallia county thru Lawrence county is under a Flash Flood Warning. I'm going to an auction over @ Cottageville, WV this morning--looks like it's gonna be wet over there too. Keith

Although this wasn't addressed to me I am going to respond anyway. The Cottageville auction is always wet. I have bought a few implements over there. Most needed repaired, but I knew that when I bought them. Taking delivery of purchased items seems to be the worst part of the event. The Ravenswood FFA needs to take a long hard look at the boys in the lift equipment! I live in Fairmont WV now but grew up about 15 miles east of the Jackson County Fairgrounds. If you get disenchanted with the auction, one of my friends runs a tractor/implement shop about 1.5 miles east of the fairgrounds on 62. Lotsa antique stuff, used stuff, and some new. Stephens Tractor or Stephens Farm Equipment. Can't remember the name. Good Hunting!

I know the place just love to go in and look around. Have bought a few things there also. I live just south of Huntington in Wayne Co. I am not up that way as much as i used to be since retiring.

Remember the 1st time water got in our house, I was gonna watch the place and mom & dad stayed at a friend's place so dad could get to work early. Normal for the house to be surrounded by water. Looked out the frt door and the water was about 3ft below the entrance of the house. Dosed off and woke up a couple hours later to the dog splashing thru about 3 inches of water on the LR floor. Got 2 and a half feet by morning. Saved everything by putting pallets on edge and stacking stuff on them, Fridge and deepfreeze floated. I caught about 15 propane tanks, 5 boats, and a couple of wood piles that next day out of the river. Ran across a couple folks from the area on facebook, guess it's pretty rough again.

This sale was on location off Cow Run Road. Edwin Winters was the auctioneer. Equipment ws pretty much used up, but he called it. The tractor (massey 150) had major engine knock. I let it go by as tires were pretty poor on it. Sold for 1500, more than I could come out on it with a rebuild. Did pick up a pretty nice Hobart portable welder tho. Sure got soaked. Keith
