Who's planting?

We got another inch of rain here in mid-Michigan last night. Water standing everywhere. We usually start planting around the 20th of April. Is anyone planting in the "I" states? (Indiana, Iowa, Illinois)?

You can"t plant in mud and there is lots of that in the Ashkum, Gilman, and Piper City Il. area at the moment. Thinking week or 10 days if it quits raining today and ideal drying conditions. Only have 20 acres planted to get the planter started so yes we do have April corn but not enough to break the bank. Armand

Nope, I don"t have any corn planted. And darn glad I don"t.

Could have planted last wed and thur but with the cold wet forecast I waited.

There are a few acres planted around here and we will see if they come up.

It has been below freezing the last three mornings. With rain everyday.

If we get the corn in by the 10th of May, I"ll be happy. Sunshine this morning.

Nope, had another 1" of rain last night, suppose to rain thru weekend, possibly another 2-3" ugh. I've dump 7 inches out of rain guage since Sunday night. SE Indiana

Corn still in the bag here up north of Peoria IL. Had over four inches since this mess started, supposed to be good day today (Sat.), but more rain for Easter on thru Tuesday.

Mid-Michigan here also, nothing moving, beets should be going in like mad but nothing happening, getting late need some good weather.

Same over here, another inch. Haven't even got my oats in,forcast doesn't look good for the next two weeks.Might have to switch to rice. Trouble is,it's so cold the pastures aren't even coming on.

Don't know anyone that has been able to plant in Central Illinois. A neighbor whom always seems to get some planted in late March or at least early April, has only tilled and sprayed a couple of fields. Going with beans this year after two years corn. Afraid I'll be competing with the corn folks for pre-plant spray applications and probably will lose. The earliest anyone could possibly plant around here is late next week.

We cant even get anything planted here in the "T" state (Tennessee) As soon as it almost gets dry enough to plant the rains pour again!

A neighbor got a little sweet corn in the ground. That is all I know of. Those that still insist on doing recreational tillage here in central Indiana, have hardly turned a lick.

Drove halfway across the state Thursday. (Central Michigan to Port Huron.) didn't see any fresh tourned soil. Very little done anywhere. I got my oat ground plowed earlier this month, but need to get on it with a disk and cultivator to smooth it down amd drag up the quack grass roots. Too wet and cold to get out there right now. Going to try to get duals on trator tomorrow. Don't even think I want to try it without. Soil is still cold, and wet.

I'm in North Central Texas near Possum Kingdom. I got potatoes onions beans and beets up. Had to water to get them up. Gardens got white ashes all over it.

Not too much here in NW IN. Then got drowned in 3-4 inches this week. Mines still in bags in the shop. Hope it's better at the end of the week. I had everything planted by the first of May last year. Not this year for sure...

So. central Mn. I got about 20 acres of wheat in. 15 acres went in pretty good and I mudded 5 acres in. Will still put in another 3 acres if I can get it in April. Seems doubtful though after hearing forcast. Yield for spring wheat here falls off dramatically after May 1st.

Nothing growing in Iowa. Some people rushed to get plantings in and then it rained for a week with temperatures in the 40s. We will not start till it warms up for a while.
