oil leak gremlin........

Hey folks,
After I came on here and said that my tractor was healthy and no more leaks (what I thought was the RM still leaking was diesel running down). Parked it in the driveway about 2 hours the next day and had a good size . puddle of oil under it. After running it awhile and parking it overnite, I had a couple drops. Used it a couple hours moving sand with a backblade and worked it's butt off and now seem to be OK. Just a drop now and then after I park it. Nothing while running. Been several days and nothing to speak of. Some from the breather tube but I chalk that up to not working hard enough. The rear main seal is a graphite ring. Could it be they seal better after a good working/heating? I want to put my FEL back on but don't want to have to remove it again to have the tractor split.

It's a well known fact that older tractors will mark their territory after receiving a rebuild to warn other old tractors that they've had their pipes cleaned, and are now in peak operating condition. If another old tractor comes too close, when you're not watching, they may spray again, no matter how well they're trained.

That's too funny.........We have a big tomcat and I told my wife about the same thing today.....When my tractor marks a little it don't stink like the cat spraying.
Think after the workout, I have things sealed up OK? The breather pipe thing I will fix by clamping a piece of hose to it and running it into a popcan a little lower.

Be interesting to see how much oil accumulates after working, or just after running or idling. Depending on which makes more, there's your answer. If it's not costing a lot to keep refilling it, I'd not worry about it unless it gets into your clutch.
