Fellow Minnesotans that grow corn?

As I wake up to about 2" of snow, and 33.7 degrees, I find myself searching the seed catalog for a repacement for my LATE 95 day corn. Any one else going to an earlier maturity due to the uncertain warm up? Am I being to quick to swith? My seed dealer always looks at me strange when I order late 95 day, but seems many around here even put in 100-105 day.

It is only APRIL 20th,what are you going to do if it is may 20th or June 1st,which could happen you know?Your seed dealer is right on his looks.

We planted 110 day corn back when we started planting about the 10th of May. Didn"t switch to 90 day corn until rain kept us out of the field until June.

You do realize it's only April don't you? Did you accidently turn two pages on your calander? I forgot what part of Mn. you are in but I am in Nicollet County and we always plant 100-105 day. Everyone here does. Won't even consider changing maturity until after middle of May. U of M people say in Southern Mn. if you could plant all your corn in one day, that day should be May 1st.

It"s waaay too early to consider switching from 95 day corn. Should still be ok for at least a month.
