how many horses is the ford 900 and does it have live power thanks

It is 46 PTO HP. If it is a 950 it does not have LPTO a 960 does. The model and serial number are stamped on the flat horizontal surface just to the rear of the starter. You can also look at the rod from the clutch pedal to the clutch arm. If the clevis has one hole no LPTO two holes it does.

Another way to check for live PTO on any of the older Fords or Massey Fergusons is to push down on the clutch pedal- if you feel a change in pressure about half way down, its a "two stage clutch", which makes it a live PTO.
