John Deere 494A, 694A Planters

Still a few around mostly on small hobby farms and food plots. We have a 494A in the shed we plant a few acers with for fun but for the most part we use a 7200. Graded seed corn is getting harded to find as most people use plateless planters. A few years ago I saw a 7000 that was a plate planter, dealer said it was a corn and cotton planter.

Well..

I been thinkin bout picking up a 494 that I found cheap.. BUT.. After spending the day at a consignment sale yesterday and watching IH cyclo planters bringing "scrap price" I think I'm going to look into one of them instead..

I chased one to about $450, and shied off, not knowing much about them.. Found out that the seller bought it from someone I know pretty well last spring, and it worked great then.. Wish I would have bid one more time.. Probably would have got it.
