New tires...........

Put new tires on the rear of my little tractor. It's cussing me now cause it 's working harder than it has in prolly the last 20 years. Before it got really hunkered down with the old, worn and hard tires, itd break loose and spin. Now it just sweats and keeps going. Playing in sand with a backblade the last couple days and finishing up today is a real treat. Tried the same thing last year and just got stuck and had to get a bigger tractor to pull me out and finish the little job.

Sure makes a difference. Put new ones on my Cub last year and could not believe the difference. I will be coming over your way in Sept. for a visit.

Do you know where yet?

We will be staying in the Hochspeyer/ Kaiserslautern area ans driving by car all around checking things out. Wife wants to see the castles and I am going to visit some old friends that I keep in touch with for the last 40 years. We don't have a set schedule. Going to go try out the wine and see if it still as good as it was back when.

Guess I'm a little out of your way... Wine up here sucks unless you like vinegar....Beer is better this direction than the bitburger slop that comes from that direction though. Trier is nice but the whole area down there south of Ktown is decent. If you're interested in war stuff, you won't be far from Bastogne and several of the WWII Cemeteries and Monuments. If you don't have any really set plans, get rent you a little diesel car and joy ride through the south. Plenty of stuff to do and see all over the country but it's extra nice down there and across southern Bavaria.
If you need any info, you can shoot me an email and I'll see what I can dig up for you.

Dave what town are you in? Shoot me an e mail if you don't want to put it on here. We are renting a car in Frankfurt and driving all over from there. I plan on going South of Kaiserslautern and thru the area there. Probably by the time we get there gas will be 10.00 a gallon over there.

Little town outside Schweinfurt 100miles+/- East of Frankfurt. Don't let fuel prices ruin your trip. If you want to tell me how much time you have and what you're interested in, I'll try to put something together so you can beat it around between now and when you come.
