To the jerk who visited my house...

Thank you for stealing the seed boots to my grain drill and my dead fathers drill. I know you checked out my place and found my stack of parts and im sure my green painted iron was green in your wallet. Perhaps you were also the jerk that stole my dads plow in 2004 too.

I know the tire tracks and prints you left behind will help the Pataskala Police Department find you. Youll be getting free room and board at an exclusive location in Newark. I hope you will enjoy it. I know all the people you stole from this weekend do too.

Sincerely

Christos

(quoted from post at 14:23:04 04/12/11) Time to put a game trail camera up at everybody's home and shed.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Check out the covert. Fairly affordable compared to what's out there and I have one. Infared so there's no flash and they trigger from a good distance and take pretty good pics. Good enough to identify a dam thief anyway.

They also have a good battery life. I was getting around 1,000 photos at our deer lease and 8 AA batteries were lasting close to 3 months.

BTW, real sorry hear about your things being stolen. I have no sympathy for anyone who steals and I know how it feels to have things taken. Don't let it eat you up!

what do you have, and what was the cost? i've been considering something along those lines. had someone pull up to my farm gas tank a month ago and help themselves. there was fresh snow on the ground, so there was no doubt. there is another location that could be more secure, too.

Check out their website. The one I have cost me $120 3 years ago. They keep making upgrades on the cameras but the one I have works well. The CA3.0 is like the ones a few of my friends have and they work well. Right at $130.00

They're cheap and if anyone wants any more info, I could see if I could get one of the dealers on here to answer any questions. Just let me know.

In my opinion, they are better than anything you can get off of the shelf and I like them because they are small. Big plus for hiding them and if you're hiding them from trespassers and thieves, then that is even more important.

They have the "Special OPS" camera as well that sends pics straight to your phone. I know a few of us were suspect about this because of allot of the places we hunt we couldn't get phone signal, but I suspect if using it for security around the home stead then you probably got a good signal. I'm not sure what the price of these are though, I'm doing good to buy $100 scoop buckets and 5 gallons of gas.

Thanks I guess what kills me is now im
going to have to scrap my drill since half
of it is now missing. So much for beginng
to farm this year. So far my massey is
fine and two ton is 20 feet away

I sincerely hope they get him.

After putting living quarters in my horse trailer, I was concerned about it disappearing. Got a tracking device from Track What Matters (my darling James paid for it).

If it moves more than 100 feet, I get a text message and the device sends a location signal every hour until trailer becomes stationary. Once stationary, it sends a signal every 24 hrs. Signal is strong enough to transmit even if the item is parked under a shed.

I can go online, log in and check location if I want to. Signal is very, very accurate.

Device was $300, monthly service is $10.00. To me its well worth it.

to get to back yard, they would have to move truck parked cross-wise. have to cut safety chains on trailers. use the chain off goose, wrap around pin and lock it. can't take out sleeve because chain isn't long to remove. always have cousin smith to help. police need to let us take care of the problem when caught!

I have motion lights and a carmera so far nothing has been touched. I've been thinking about locking my mini-barn, but the dogs will alert if they see someone. The Chow is now 11 months old she's always on guard. Hal

is she smiling? I have a chow that looks a lot like yours they do not miss anything! and theiving dirtballs avoid barking dogs

I take it that from the city"s you mentioned you"re from Ohio, so am I. I"d buy a real mean dog and a 357 magnum.

Glad you found one you liked , Nancy. I know you were asking about them a while back. There are ways to beat these dirt bags.People just have to go against their nature now-a-days and stop trusting anyone. Sad, but a forced situation.

Yeah I have two dogs, and after today they're going on the outside.

After filing my police report I doubt they'll ever see the light of day.

A total of 2,2k in parts value stolen. He should have just swiped the whole drill. Would have done both of us a favor...it went from a misdemeanor (under five - the drill was worth scrap) to a felony.

According to Denglers in Middletown thats...

14 Single Disk Assemblies at $45
15 Double Disk Assembiies at $85

The middle beam meant for a FB-B's Hydraulic Lift @200 in 2006 prices.

I'm a lot less angry then I was this morning. Working on the tractor helped :p

30 miles north of you here in ohio. they hit me two years ago, took two aluminum ladders and two walk planks. thought for scrap at first but then noticed they left a ladder and all the loose scrap some of it copper. might be the same guy found wondering around the neighbors barn.they lost a wood splitter. nobody was ever prosecuted.ball bat in truck with me to use when i find someone snooping around.

I'd like to think my dog would scare away thieves, but in reality, she would just bark at them until they got out of the truck and then she'd happily help them load it.

You should should see her running around the perimeter of the fence. She's always on guard and is only 11 months old.

Her parents were the same way when we went to look at her. They smelled our hand and I talked to them and they seem to sense their pups wasn't in any danger. When we handled their pups they just stood by and watched. I even took pictures of them. When we decided on the pup to buy the parents came up to the gate and seem to say goodbye to their pup.

The breeder said the mother of our pup had another litter several weeks ago. She had 8 pups and one didn't make it. Hal

Sounds like you might need to freshen up your bait if you want to catch them. Course then you'll have to stand guard over the bait until you get a hit. The trail cam bummer is that they too can be stolen... or smashed if the robber saw it flash etc.??
