Ever heard of this tractor

In Dallas Craigslist someone has advertised a 1930's Ford farm All tractor. I email and questioned that. He said it was a Ford Farm All made by Ford and had a side seat. He also said he had mowed with it before it locked up. Recon this is one of those conversions made for Model A or T? Maybe not because you couldn't use a mower unless it had its own engine on it. Haven't ever saw one with a PTO.

It could be a conversion and he could have mowed with it. The mower was probally a horse drawn sickle bar mower, that would be ground driven, Not sure.

There WAS a Ford tractor built, not real quality, Not by Henry, but the guy tried to capitalize on the Henry Ford name. They didn't last very long.

Model A or T conversion maybe? 1930s Ford tractors here were leftovers from 1927 before the factory switched to making model As. 1930s to 1939 were English made 27Ns or some such model, not many brought to US but some did come back on light load ships and a few from Canada. Ask about wheel size and transmission gears- most conversions used a second transmission and often the AA truck rear axle mounted solid. Ferguson had a early "autoplow" rig based on model T conversion- plow was 2 point hitch instead of 3 point, bottom long tongue sort of like later AC snap coupler pulling from bottom center instead of rear of tractor- this unlicensed conversion pattern done in US also. RN

Ford started building the model N Fordson in Ireland in 1929. Production was moved to England in 1932 and continued through WWII. Those tractors were imported to the USA. The E27N Fordson was a post-war model and was marketed in Canada, but not in the US.

I'm thinkin maybe one of the old IH Regulars or early F's which were painted gray, before IH went red.Or a gray on with later red wheels.. Ie:Old tractor labelled FarmAll,but gray or red/gray in color so"must be a Ford"....? I'm guessin seller ain't a"Tractor Guy".

I'm curious,but not enough to call :)

His ad says he will take a picture if you request, did you ask for one? You know the old saying, a picture is worth a thousand words!

Here is his CL post for the curious:

I'm selling a 1930's model ford farm all tractor. I dont know much about it, other than i used it to mow a few times until the engine locked up. It has the original motor and crank start, and when she runs, she sounds beautiful. Like i said the engine is locked up but if over hauled she would make a great collectors item or another handy tractor. I havent taken pictures yet but will upon request. Im asking 2500 or best offer. You may reach me on my cell at 940-235-2329

Yes, I did ask for pictures. My first re. I just ask was he sure it was a ford farm all that I had never heard of one. He answered and assured me it was. Here is what he said

" A ford farm all is an older model tractor made by ford. mine happens to be a 1930's model, A frame with a side seat."

I re. again and ask for photo, haven't heard back.
