White series3

Is there a quick way to tell if a White tractor is a series 3? Dealers love to say it"s a series 3 because they are worth more. Did ALL series 3 have the updated cabs?

The quickest way to tell a TRUE Series III tractor is to stand on the ground at the front of the cab, and see if you can see "light" (a gap) between the cab and fuel tank. On a TRUE Series III, you will be able to see daylight all the way between the cab firewall and the under-hood fuel tank. The Series I and II tractors are good, rugged machines. The Series I and Series II tractors did not have a modular (ie enclosed firewall) cab, so the fuel tank on the older ones extended under the instrument panel/cowl. This method has always worked for me, especially when the cab is locked. There are many other differences, such as the controls and shifter. I hope this helps! The Series III tractors are nice, but there are a lot of older tractors that have been re-painted and re-decaled.
