Buying a Tractor

Im looking to buy either a Farmall 400 or a Super W9.I was wondering the average price for one the runs well,has decent tires,and tin,and wouldn't take much to restore also is there anything that i should look for besides the normal things when inspecting these tractors before I buy one,and what is the biggest plow i could pull behind either of these tractors.Any input would be great.Thanks.

Be careful using the word restore. To purists restore means to put the tractor back to as new condition which would require stripping it down to the bare frame and completely rebuilding every component. Most restored tractors are only used in parades or for static display. Refurbish or fix up might be a better term to use.

Engine parts are hard to find for the W9. Also hard to haul because of weight.
