saved 2 from the scrap man

I saved a couple of Case CCs from the scrap man this week. They look rather rough on the outside, but the inside of the engines look pretty good. I took the heads off just to look inside and the sleeves are still clean and shinny, not even any ring ridge!

Excellent Job
Now it looks like you got a couple new winter projects.Keep use posted. Its a good day. When you can keep the old iron. Out of the scrap monsters mouth.Good luck with your new tractors.Take lots of pictures. Thanks BlaineF(WA)

I don't think they are that rare; I have 2 CC's with them and I know of one other that had them before restoration.

Nice going.
I can still remember the hum of our old CC Case as we would grind feed with it running a Papec hammer mill. It did steer a little hard for field work though. Another thing is the hand clutch worked the opposite way of our later SC so that was a learning experience.

Nebraska Kirk, you saved part of America when you saved those tractors. The people who worked hard to pour the castings and machine out the parts are probably long gone, but the product still lives on. American people- American tractors. Maybe more people will catch on and start restoring these old classics and keep them going for the generations to come. God bless You and Yours. ---Derrol in Texas---(Case LA Propane)

I cant believe that the air cleaner stacks and top are still there. Also its nice to have the belt pulley option. Someone may need that factory round spoke also.

Reverse mounted tires were fairly common for a while, the thought being you could hold the brake on the front mounted tire and the rear mounted one would help back up if you got stuck. DOUG
