One down, one to go.

Filled the left rear tire w/105 gal. of fluid Friday. Going to get the crew back out tomorrow so we can fill the right one. Here's a few pics. Pic 1, my daughters filling the tank. #2, little man getting the jugs ready to pour. #3, wide shot of this fancy operation.

the little ones are smiling, the older daughter is not. I remember the days when my little girl used to smile while helping dad,now shes 18 and I need to make an appointment to say hello to her! lol

Looks like your experienced crew has everything under control.

One day they will be grateful that they got to help you.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks for sharing your photos with us.

When there little they are Big Helps. When they are bigger they become Little Helps:) That's what happened to mine.

Yes, my oldest will be 12 next month and I fear we may be headed the same direction. Somehow, dad isn't as cool as he used to be. :)

oldest dont look to happy about getting her pic taken lol just out of curiosity wouldnt be cheaper to buy by the 55 gal. drum? i personaly go to the local junk yard and buy there old antifrezze they drain out of the vehicals last time i bought was $25 for a 55 gal drum

That"s a good idea. I checked on washer fluid by the drum from Auto Tire & Parts and it was $170! You"d think it"d be cheaper. Maybe it is elsewhere, but I didn"t want to burn up a lot of gas going very far to get it. At $1.49/gal. on the fluid from Rural King, I didn"t think I got hurt. I also thought about the antifreeze, but what I found locally looked to have a good amount of oil in it, and I didn"t want to run the risk of not getting it filtered out and ruining a tube. How"ve you gotten along w/the used antifreeze?

works great for me if i get some with oil i just strain it through a cheese cloth type stuff my wife has doesnt get all the oil out but after 7 years still no problem with tubes ive even put the used antifreeze right in the radiator tested for -30 so figured id try it in the tractors no problems there either

We just had a Menards open nearby and it is currently selling the solution for $.50 a gallon.

I filled the tires on a two-wheeled tractor year before last and don't remember that there was a great deal of cost. Of course the small tires don't take much either.

Spend time with your kids and enjoy them while you can. They will be gone before you know it. I now wish I would have spend more time with mine when they were young instead of working all the time at my real job. My youngest is now 28 and the oldest is 41.

"Somehow, dad isn't as cool as he used to be...."

Remember, your first responsibility is to be a parent, not their best friend. I'm a teacher and see this all the time where the parents tries to be the kids best friend, and then they wonder why the kids have no respect for the parents. Just be firm but loving at the same time....a large order sometimes. Someday, in the not too distant future, she'll decide that dad is pretty cool after all.

Didn't mean to imply I wanted to be their best friend. I've been a teacher for 15 yrs. and have seen the same thing. It's just interesting to see how the nature of the relationship w/your own kids changes as time goes by. Being a parent is the best!
