What a waste of money. I am sure all the drug dealers, armed robbers and all violent felons will run right out and register their legal and illegal guns.

It is a Cuomo tax. If you take NY City and Rochester out of the equasion then it wouldn't even be on the table. Liberals stink, eh?

I heard on the radio yesterday that in Illinois where anyone owning a gun must have a FOID card (Firearm Owners ID) that registers their firearms with the state police will now have their names and addresses published since FOID is considered public knowledge.

As the story goes, both Chicago papers (Times and Tribune) have been after that information, and since the Illinois Attorney General, Lisa Madigan, hates guns, gun owners, 2nd Amendment, America, and a wole lot of other freedom kinds of things, she ordered the state police to turn over the names and addresses of every FOID card holder to the papers in an effort to shame all gun owners.

The state police are fighting it, saying that information is not the publics business, and by releasing it will tell the bad guys where the best chances will be to locate and steal guns to use for bad things. When told that, Madigan said too bad, she's going to do it, and then she went home and cried to her father, Michael, Speaker of the Illinois House for that last 100 years, that the state police and AM Talk radio were being mean to her.

They were beatng her up pretty good on the radio yesterday, "Daddy, make me governor Daddy, I want to be governor, Daddy...boo hoo hoo".

This mean New York citians don't have to register them ?

This has been presented every year since 2008, gets sent to commitee and gets tabled. It's nothing new, they been trying it for years.

A weekly area newspaper published the names of people with carry permits years ago.I never bought another copy and stopped advertising in the paper.The paper was sold soon after they did that.

I live in N.E. New York state and haven't heard word one on this from any local news outlet nor have I seen anything regarding this from the NRA.
