Long and Farmtrac tractors

I went by the local spit and whittle club today. In talking to some of the old guys, they informed me that Long tractor was no more and the same thing for Farmtrac. Do these ole geezers know something that I don"t??
Do any of you know of such closings??

As for as I know what they are saying is true. The Long tractor was a fair tractor, the farmtrac was presented as a reborned Ford 2000 etc. Not true, looks the same but it stops there.

theres lots of aftermarket parts for Long tractors...not so many for FarmTrac...my neighbor runs a FT60 and so far we've been able to find parts he's needed but its getting harder to hunt down.
FT is still in biz but only in Europe and Asia...Long has been out of biz close to 20 years i think.

Long and Farmtrac are both history. All the parts and equipment at the factory in Tarboro NC were sold in a huge auction a while back.I understand one company bought most of the parts.Montana is the next one to go.I have a good
friend that was a Long dealer then went to Montana and now he says they are history.

What was formerly Long now being manufactured by a Korean firm. Name of the tractor begins with an "L..." Can't recall the name.

They had a bunch of them at the NY Farm Show last week. Still seemed to be a good product with better backing by the Korean outfit than the outfit in India that formerly made them.
