Deutz tractor with loader - comments pls

Friend of mine called asking me to price his granddad"s Deutz so he can sell it. Rig does not run right now. I think it is a model 6006?

I told him price of $3-5K as not sure why not running. I do kind of like the rig but am concered about parts availability.

Are these good rigs?
Was my estimate to him accurate?

I wish I could find one for that price here in the land of deutz........
just curious, is it water cooled? Parts availability here is real good and reasonable, even all over ebay. Most here are air cooled with export models being water cooled. Don't know if it's any indication of quality, but the older deutz tractors are priced considerably above other models.

I was just on a deutz forum and they are supposed to be bombproof and simple to work on. Had some folks on here talking up the 06 models also.

My dad has a 4506 About 1975 or so. It has been one of the best tractors I have been around. Still a good tractor and uses about half the fuel af any other tractor I have used.

I love mine. Easy to work on and part are available. If its air cooled pop the clean out shroud and make sure the fins aren't covered with oil.
