I HAVE AN 8N WITH A 1949 FLATHEAD V8.I PURCHASED A BELT DRIVEN GOVERNOR TO INSTALL, ANYONE KNOW HOW TO MOUNT THIS? DO I NEED ANY SPECIAL MOUNT OR DO I HAVE TO FABRICATE SOMETHING.A PICTURE OF ONE MOUNTED WOULD BE A BIG HELP,

My understanding is that originally they used the gear-driven governor from the original 4 cylinder and there was an adapter that bolted to the governor to make it belt-driven.

Take a look at Marvin Bauman's website ans ee if you can find any more info, or contact him. He's da MAN when it comes to the V-8 conversions.

Here is a governor picture from a V-8 conversion It does look like the back half is an original governor like Bob said.
I can get some better pictures if it would help.
