76 degrees in W SC today. Drove some with the truck window down. Of course, daughter in IA said locals started driving with a window down when it got up to 40 degrees.

Very dry and windy here. Had a 75 acre brush fire within 3 miles of the house yesterday.

On the bright side,the sun's shining here causing the eves to drip a little. Gonna have to do a LOT of dripping to get rid of the foot of snow that's up there.

I recall driving with the window down at about -25F. That was the temperature where my defroster quit keeping up, and until I got to where the sun was shining on my windshield I hadda hang my head out the window. You don't drive real fast in those situations, nor real far.

No matter how warm or nice the weather,driving with the window down is not a good thing to do. I have a friend who is deaf on one ear because of it. He drove a service truck for many years with the window down. I went to a hearing aid place to check my hearing and they asked me if I had done that.

It don't get real cold here in my area (20 degrees is cold). January is usually the cold part with maybe 10-15 overnight then 20-25) Has been 40-50 then dropped to 15 overnight and 30 during the day the last 2 days. Supposed to warm up and rain tomorrow. Eat more groundhog..........
