Tractor Splitting stand

I have split several tractors, but have never really liked the way I did it.

I am looking to build a stand to split them with. I work on Minneapolis Molines mostly, but I'm sure it could be universal.

Does anyone have any nice pictues or ideas?

Thanks

just an idea, ive not done a mm, but how about 4 trailer jacks with the casters on them and some universal mounting brackets? that will allow up and down adjustment, tilt side to side as well as stability. when bolted to the tractor, also have the ability to roll one end away from the rest to work on

I built one for next to nothing that I have used twice on my nfe Ford 9000. The tractor has a structural cast iron oil pan with threaded holes on the side. I cut short lengths of four inch angle stock and drilled holes for bolts to thread into the pan. I took a three foot 6x6 and blocked it up against the two pieces of angle stock then lagged the angle stock securely onto the 6x6. with the wide footprint it is very stable. The rear portion of the tractor is rolled back on a floor jack.

This is very usable and modest in cost.
Common channel iron and all thread. Casters could be used on the all thread to make moving easier. Jim

what i did and im 15 i to 2 pcs of ang iron measured it from a bolt hole from the frame of the tractor til a few inches off the ground. the i welded a pice across the top to look like a T then i cut out holes in the T part bolted to the fram rails and so it could be moved around i old jack wheels on it on the bottom. dont know if would have to be modified with moline i did it with ford. hope i helped.

i build a wide legged A frame with a chain hoist on a trolley to split a tractor.
The H beam runs paralel above the tractor.
Works good to lift engines out of vehicles to.

we built one simular to the drawing below, but used a couple spindles and car tires on the bottom. worked great, rolled easy on a dirt floor and just vary the tire pressure if necessary for alignment when bolting the halves back together. we just blocked up the back half.

I use a trailer jack on each side of the engine. A bottle jack on a wheeled platform goes under the transmission.Unhook the 3 point arms, turn them around and fasten to the platform.
Push on each rear tire to push the rear assembly back.

Worked great and it was nice to be able to roll the front around the shop. I just blocked up the rear half on lumber.
