I grabbed my camera when I headed out to do chores this afternoon and I was glad I did.

This is our most recent addition to the 2011 calf crop. A heifer.

This is the calf we found out in the snow on January 15th and his mom. Growing like a weed!

This is what its all about. All of those cold, snowy, miserable days taking care of the cows, mending fences in the heat and rain, all of that work is worthwhile because of moments like these.

Wrigley is busy as always. Our constant observer and supervisor.
I also had the good fortune of meeting a ytmag poster yesterday. I was introduced to "bill in il" yesterday by a mutual aquaintance. Just never know who you are going to run into in at the bolts bins in the Farm King store! Hope you can join us up at the Warehouse when kruser comes out this way.
Hope everybody is surviving mud season. Getting deep here but the warmer weather is nice. Take care.

Thanks for yhe pictures - Will share with the Daughter.
Goin have to get a Warehouse time set up before you get "real" busy. Seems like this winter has been busier for me than usual.

All the snow in pictures that were previously posted a couple of weeks ago??? There must have been a lot of mild temperatures . We continue to get real winter each day. Cheers, Murray

We tied a record for high temp one day last week. Went from 6 foot snow drifts to a foot of mud in record time. We can still have significant snowfall and cold for another month but it is usually buffered with temp swings up into the 40's or more. Supposed to cool off this week with lows back into the teens towards the weekend. It will be muddy for awhile now.

Once again nice pics Bill. I could tell from the pictures that you lived somewhere close by. Nice to put a face with a handle.

Those pictures remind me that I have one cow that looks like she will be ready to drop in the next couple of days. Going to have to keep a close eye on her.

Nice photos. Does the ear tag say C C & E Farms?
I think more snow is headed your way. We have been getting a pile dumped on us again here in Minnesota. Visibility was poor enough this morning that we didn't make it to church; turned around after a couple miles and headed back home.

Bill- Thanks for sharing the pics! It helped make my day as well- I know what you mean. Hey, I bet your dog Wrigley can chew gum and bark at the same time!? Enjoy God's creatures- this was a nice break from the white stuff.

Hey Bill, that calf looks pretty big, I remember the pic you posted before of it wrapped in a towel. Here a pretty pic. of the moon setting on Sat morn just before we got another big snow yesterday. Here is a pic of my wolfhound pup, cut firewood yesterday just before the storm, he keeps a look out for me.

The weather conditions in your area, must be quite normal to ours. Temp. can change quickly. We can get snow for another 6 weeks. Nice crop of calves, loaded with energy. Cheers, Murray

Looks like you've got a good calf crop this year.

Seems like a couple are a little camera shy.

Be sure to pat Wrigley on the head and tell him he's a good dog.

Thanks for sharing your photos with us.

Nice pics. My wife used to call those the "baby races" when we had cattle, and later, raised horses. They're fun, no matter the species.

Bill, Enjoy the pic's as always, you seem to bring out "The Country Boy" in all of us.
I have noticed, if you post a hundred pic's and none of Wrigley, some one always inquire's about your dog. Not to burst your bubble, just to let you know where you stand in the pecking order.
Thanks
Led
