Dave2, can you give me an application(make, model, year of your tractor and size of engine.Gas or diesel. Any numbers on the old pump will help also.
A lot of listed units in parts books are wrong. I found a supplier on discontinued pumps that had the parts and brand new pumps. Also the internal parts on some pumps have part no's. stamped or imprinted on them.

Not yet..... Have to take the pump off to see anything. Without going into a long story, I have a guy giving me the pump I need (if it's actually the same pump). He won't take anything for it so rather than argue with him and atke a chance on insulting him, I'll try to get the parts to fix the leaking pump and give it back to him. Kinda have the feeling that the guys at the parts counter work on commission. Have 2 starters that need /ed a starter drive. Not available anywhere but they have a starter for 400 bucks on the shelf.
Went into the shop to pick up the starter and told the mechanic that checked it (same guy giving me the pump) he made a call and had me two new drives the next day for 20 bucks each and postage.

Parts manual for the tractor only shows one hydraulic pump for all models in my series. That pump can be had all over the web and ebay for 200 bucks. Parts guy says it's wrong and the right one costs 900 euro and the one in the book is an upgrade that needs a couple other parts and will be 800 euro. Should be getting the used pump this week.

Thanks.

Dave
