Hi,
I have a 1948 Minneapolis Moline RTI. I am going to have to replace the spool valve for the front end loader. I am curious what the psi of the hydraulic pump is. The pump is external and driven of the front of the crankshaft. I assume it is original. The loader is made by Reese Engineering CO. The loader has a 3000 LB. lift capacity. If anyone can help please let me know.
Thanks

Sounds like you have an after market pump on it. I say that because the RTI I have has a hyd pump that is run off of the side of the engine not off the crank shaft and most like that have relief valves in the hyd controls set around 2500psi

That was added with the loader. Most applications ag applications in the early 50s was in the neighbor hood of 2000 to 2500 lb. Just did not have fittings or hose to stand a$nything more. Surplus hyd has dozens of valves. There is probably an adjustable relief in that loader system somewhere.

More of them in the early 50's and before were under 1500# with some as low as in the 200# range but around 1000-1200# should be closer. Just buy a guage and stick in system.
