hii need more air i have 60 gal 10.4 cfm @90 psi iam useing a tb 960 skat blast cabinet they requires 10-15cfm@80 psi but iam 100ft away compressor was useing 3/8 switching to 1/2 i have 100#or120# lp tank could this be used as tank closer to the bead plaster if so can you put a tank drainin itand the best way of cleaning tank for welding because of the lp thanks tim

If I read your question correctly you are asking if you can use a lp tank as downstream storage and asking about welding a drain into the bottom of the tank. If this is what you are asking then the answer is yes you can but the other answer is you dont need to weld in a drain. If you are concerned about moisture in the tank just mount it upside down so that the moisture would drain back into the line. You can add a dryer to the line if you find moisture to be a problem. Having a storage tank close to your work (end of the line) will help maintain a more consistant pressure while working.
Your compressor will not run any less with this setup you will have a longer period of blasting followed by a longer period of recovery.

Agreed with the post above. You will not gain much by doing this. The only thing you will be gaining is your compressor will not initially start for a little longer. Once you get below the kick in pressure, your compressor will still run as much. When you stop, the compressor will actually run longer now since it has to refill the original tank, plus the one you added.

The only way to get more cfm is to add another pump. In other words, go get another 60 gallon unit and then you have 20 cfm at your disposal.

Be sure any LP tank that you plan to weld on has been vented and flushed. If there is any residual LP gas remaining, you may very well be history. You probably already know this, but just to be on the safe side......

I run a 100 lb bottle in the line when I use my 1 in air wrench, makes a difference. I can tell a big difference when it is 25 ft from my wrench. I just got a left hand fitting from my LP Gas man and put a Tee in the end. Water shouldn't be a problem, this far from compressor. If it is just turn it upside down. If you are worried about the LP in the bottle, unscrew the valve, and stick about 3 ft of something into the tank and let air purge it for about a hour.
