Hello tractor guys.

I am interested in one of these tractors. Both have cabs. The Moline is about 15 years older than the Oliver-White.
I will only use the tractors to push snow on my own property. The price on the tractors are the same.
I would appreciate any and all info. you can share about each tractor.
Both tractors look very clean and have great rubber.
What are the HP on these machines??

Nebraska tests show 105.6 hp for the 2-105 and 101.7 hp for the 706. Recall setting on a 706 at the Ohio State Fair and believed I could plow up the whole county with this massive tractor. The hood was so long I imagined it had to have a straight eight. Occasionally consider purchasing one but already have a GVI that is seldom run. If only I could have today's resources and be magically transfered back to the early 60's.

If you are going use the tractor I would get the White 105MFWD. If you were going to restore the tractor for your collection I would get the MM 706MFWD. The MM would probably have more collector interest. The White would be easier to get parts for and I think you would like the shifting better. Are you going to put a loader or a dozer on the front or use a Gnuse loader on the back? The White had a fairly nice cab (although not as nice as a JD) and you sit a little farther forward which makes loader operation a little easier. White MFWD axle will be stronger than the MM and if the cab interior needs some repair it will be a little easier.

Tough to beat the 2-105.Good all around reliable tractor and good power/economy with the 354 Perkins.'Bout as good as tractors can get.

That MM706 front end is just about impossible to get all of the parts for. I just went through one last year for a collector friend. We had to have a lot of parts made. He had over ten grand in just the front end.

So if you are going to use it in everyday farming I would get the White 105 mfwd. They are much easier to get parts for. Plus the front axle is built much heavier so if you use a loader it would be far superior. The turning radius is much better on the White 105.

Now if you are looking for a collector piece then the MM706 would be the choice that will appreciate in value the most.

to the fella wlho wanted to know where the MM is located please hit me again on the email

i think the guys below pretty well covered it. The 2-105 is a better tractor to use and is more economical with a better front end, shorter front hood, better cab, better fuel economy but the Minnie Mo would make a cool collector tractor.
