Cleaning light oil/grease

Hi Guys,

I have a tractor that I want to wash and make look sharp. This is a restored tractor with very nice paint. It has some areas that have light oil/grease/dirt and I am looking for a good way to clean that before washing. What would you suggest that I could spray on, etc. that would preclean these areas before I wash it? Don't want to hurt the paint with anything harsh. Some areas are, of course, hard to actually get to with a rag or brush so need something that will do a good job disolving the oil. Your suggestions please?

Thanx!

Norm

What about the off the shelf, foaming engine degreaser's, from the auto parts stores? Just spray it on, let it set a few minutes, and hose off!

It is the stuff that comes from orange peels. It comes in products with citrus or orange in the name. It is effective enough on it's own that it works without strong alkali like that in Simple Green that will attack paint.

Super clean is made for that and is biodegradeable. Spray it on, let it soak for a few minutes, wash it off with water. Dave

Most auto parts stores have it and Walmart used to sell it but now has their own version. I would bet the Walmart stuff is the same thing but maybe not quite as strong. It's just called Super Clean now in a purple bottle. It was originally Castrol Super Clean. It works good and cuts through grease. Just google super clean. Dave
